SCROLL DOWN
City of Glasgow College was formed in September 2010 with the merger of three established city colleges, namely Glasgow College of Nautical Studies, Central College Glasgow and Glasgow Metropolitan College.
Formerly known as the Glasgow College of Nautical Studies, the Faculty of Nautical & STEM can actually trace its roots back to 1969 when it was formally opened by Admiral of the Fleet, the Earl of Mountbatten, on the banks of the Clyde.
It provides a full range of marine operations and engineering courses, from mandatory education and training for Merchant Navy Officers to a range of specialist short courses for the professional development of seafarers.
Glasgow has an extensive range of specialist facilities, including Bridge and Engine Room simulators, marine engineering workshops and a pier head with lifeboats and davits, amongst others.
