Monitoring of Cadet Progress

SCROLL DOWN

Just Be Maritime monitors every Officer Cadet with regard to their welfare, academic progress and sea training to ensure that they complete the cadetship programme and qualify on time.

During college phases, our team will liaise closely with the college’s management, academic and halls of residence staff on related issues and concerns, while maintaining six-weekly college visits to monitor cadet welfare and academic performance, sometimes accompanied by our sponsoring client.

We will monitor each cadet’s college attendance levels on a weekly basis and also review the college’s end of phase reports on your behalf.

During sea training phases, Officer Cadets are encouraged to provide monthly updates to us, including a welfare update and the work they have completed so far. We will also consult with the shipping companies during the time cadets are serving aboard their vessels, for any updates on general welfare and training progress.

Officer Cadets will also be given access to an online learning portal, which provides learning support related to the training they are completing onboard a vessel.

We will review shipboard appraisals on completion of each ship appointment, as well checking individual progress with completion of their MNTB’s Training Record Book tasks.
