Just Be Maritime provides continuous preparation for Officer Cadets ahead of each of their college phases during the cadetship. This preparation assists the Officer Cadets’ welfare and provides certainty for the next stage of their college-based training.

Supporting preparations include but are not limited to the provision of:

• college programme schematics to ensure that cadets are aware of all scheduled college phase start and end dates.
• college joining instructions in advance of each college phase start date
• accommodation details and booking applications
• a first monitoring meeting by JBM a week or two after the cadets start their first college phase so that we can check the welfare, documentation and academic status of each new starter
• company-specific inductions with new starters, if required by our clients during the first college phase
• reviews of end-of-phase college reports

We also provide preparation during the final college phase to ensure that the Officer Cadet is ready to apply for and undertake their final Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) Oral examination.
